Levamed® E+motion® is the sports version of the Levamed ankle support. It does the same job — soft tissue compression with a silicone pad on each side of the ankle — in a knit built for training: merino wool for temperature and odour control, Dry Skin technology for moisture, and an extra-thin pad profile that does not feel bulky inside a shoe.

It is for an ankle that needs compression with local padding, including slight instability, sprains and distortions, and joint effusions and swellings from arthritis and osteoarthritis.

medi calls the knit 10 per cent thinner and 25 per cent firmer than its other support fabrics, and shapes it ergonomically so it sits almost wrinkle-free: an extra-large stretch zone at the entry, a sock-style cuff and an XL movement zone at the bend of the ankle. The pads massage the joint as you move to help disperse swelling, and the compressive fabric can improve proprioception (your body's sense of where it is in space), which helps the body control and steady the ankle.
