The Actimove® Sports Edition Knee Brace is the hinged member of the range, for ligament and soft-tissue injuries - ACL, LCL, MCL and PCL sprains and tears, medial and lateral meniscal tears - as well as patellar instability, patellar tendonitis and chondromalacia patella.

Simple hinges on the medial and lateral sides give the extra stability a sleeve cannot, while letting the knee bend. Removable condyle pads add optional cushioning where the hinges sit against the bony sides of the joint, and an adjustable horseshoe can be positioned around the kneecap for patellar tracking. A padded oval patella opening reduces pressure on the kneecap itself.

An inelastic strap keeps the back of the thigh comfortable, an elastic hook-and-loop strap holds the fit, and finger loops make it easier to pull on. Perforated quick-drying COOLMAX® AIR material, neoprene-free, not made with natural rubber latex. Worn on either knee.

Measure with the knee bent to 120 degrees, a little straighter than a right angle.

Remove the hinges and close the hook-and-loop straps before washing
Hand wash or machine wash on a gentle cycle at 40 °C (105 °F) with a mild detergent
Do not bleach, dry-clean, tumble dry or iron
Lay it flat to dry, and make sure it is completely dry before wearing it again
Avoid laundry additives such as fabric softener, brightener or stain remover

Set the horseshoe first, then close the bottom strap before the top one, and finish by checking the hinges.

Unfasten all the straps
Optional: attach the adjustable horseshoe inside the brace, in the position you want around your kneecap
Step inside and pull it up the leg using the finger loops, until the kneecap is centred in the patella opening
Secure the bottom strap first, then the top one
Adjust for a fit that is snug but not tight
Check the hinges are properly aligned with the sides of your knee
