The SWEDE-O-UNIVERSAL is a lace-up ankle brace worn inside the shoe. It is used for an acute capsule or ligament tear, for an ankle that has become chronically unstable, for sprains, for wear in the upper or lower ankle joint, after surgery, and to stop a first or a repeat injury.

The base is built like an insole, so the foot stands on it and the lacing pulls the brace in evenly from heel to instep. Reinforcement inlays on the inner and outer side, with spiral springs running through them, limit the ankle rolling and the talus sliding forward, while a stretch panel over the Achilles tendon leaves the up-and-down movement of walking free.

It is fitted by the circumference just above the ankle and can be worn on either foot.

Remove the reinforcement inserts from the side pockets before washing
Wash SWEDE-O-UNIVERSAL gently in lukewarm water (30 °C) with mild detergent and air dry
Do not dry it in the tumble dryer, on the heating or in the microwave

We recommend wearing a stocking under the brace.
First thread the laces through all the inner and outer eyelets of the brace.
The two reinforcement inserts can be fitted together or, depending on the need for stability, each on only one side of the ankle, in the pockets provided.
Start by lacing the two lowest eyelets comfortably tight.
Important for ankle stability: Lace the next three eyelets, which are close together, as tightly as possible to achieve the best possible stability effect.
The remaining eyelets are laced with a pleasantly firm pull of the laces.
When the SWEDE-O-UNIVERSAL ankle brace is completely put on, check the distance between the inner lacing strips. If the gap is larger than 2 cm, the brace is too small. If the space is less than 0.5 cm, the brace is too large. Please select the appropriate size.
If the laces loosen during activity or sport, tighten them again, especially at the three eyelets that sit close together.
