The ACHILLODYN® is an achilles tendon support with septate friction pads and insulated heel wedge.

Septate pads gently massage the oedema away from the paratenon during movement and encourage blood flow.

Available in 6 sizes, fitted by distal tibia (the lower shin, just above the ankle) circumference.

Is this the right one for you?

Choose this if the pain is in the Achilles tendon, the cord at the back of the heel.

Everyday ache or swelling? Sporlastic MALLEO-HiT SUPREME Ankle Support is a lighter compression support.

Sprained it, or does it give way? Sporlastic SWEDE-O-UNIVERSAL Ankle Brace stabilises the ligaments on the sides of the ankle.

It may also qualify as an eligible medical expense under the CRA's Medical Expense Tax Credit. Can be worn on the right or the left.

  • Wash ACHILLODYN® gently in lukewarm water (30 °C) with mild detergent and air dry
  • Do not dry it in a tumble dryer, on the heating or in the microwave
  • Any tension in the knitted fabric that decreases over time will be restored by washing
  • Sporlastic therefore recommends washing the support more frequently

Sporlastic prints these steps in the instructions for use supplied with the product.

  • ACHILLODYN can be worn on the left or right side.
  • Fold the upper edge of the support over to the end of the SPORLASTIC flag or to the upper orange stripe.
  • Pull the support over the foot until the heel sits correctly in the anatomically knitted heel section.
  • When properly seated, the pads lie in the pits to the side of the Achilles tendon. The pockets for these pads are deliberately kept slightly larger so that the pads can be moved slightly in height for an ideal fit.
  • Fold the upper edge back again and pull the support into the correct position.
  • ACHILLODYN fits correctly when the seam runs centrally over the sole of the foot and heel.
  • ACHILLODYN should not be too tight.
  • The two heel wedges should be at the very back of the shoes.
