Genumedi® E+motion® is the sports version of the Genumedi knee support. The job is the same, compression around the knee with a silicone pad over the kneecap area, but the knit is built for training: merino wool for temperature and odour control, Dry Skin technology for moisture, and a 3D silicone-quartz pad shaped to fit each size rather than one pad across the range.

It is for a knee needing soft tissue compression with local pads around the kneecap, including slight instability of the knee joint, osteoarthritis and arthritis, and patellofemoral pain syndrome.

medi calls the fabric 10 per cent thinner and 25 per cent tighter than its other support knits, using highly elastic yarn that springs back into shape. The support is shaped ergonomically so it sits almost wrinkle-free, an XL movement zone sits around the joint for flexibility where it is needed, a Perfect-Fit top band keeps it from slipping, and Grip-Ons at the sides give you something to pull against when putting it on. The pad massages the area as you move, which stimulates circulation and helps swelling settle.

Fit is the cut, not the size. Extra-Wide keeps the same calf size, is a step wider through the thigh, and has a top band.

Hand wash only, in lukewarm water (about 30°C/86°F) with a mild detergent
Close all hook-and-loop (velcro) fasteners, straps, and zippers before washing to protect the fabric
Do not use fabric softener, bleach, or harsh chemicals; do not dry clean
Remove and clean any removable pads or cushions separately with water or mild soap
Air dry fully -- do not tumble dry, use a hair dryer, or dry in direct sunlight
Apply skin creams or lotions after removing the support in the evening, not right before putting it on, since they can affect the material's properties
