The medi Elastic Ankle Support is the simplest ankle garment in medi's orthopaedic range: a seamless two-way stretch knit with a shaped heel, and no pads, splints or straps. It moulds to the contours of the foot like a second skin and is thin enough to wear inside an ordinary shoe.

It is for an ankle that needs soft tissue compression rather than bracing, including slight instability of the ankle joint, sprains and distortions, joint effusions and swellings from arthritis and osteoarthritis, and chronic, post-operative or post-traumatic inflammation.

The knit delivers medical compression class 2. Steady pressure and a gentle massaging action as you walk help settle an irritated joint and improve blood flow through the soft tissue around it, while the compressive fabric can improve proprioception (your body's sense of where it is in space), which helps the body guide and steady the joint itself. Clima Comfort moves moisture off the skin and the Clima Fresh finish inhibits odour, so it can be worn for everyday activity as well as sport.
