This product provides medical-grade Class 2 compression (30-40 mmHg). Medical-grade compression garments (20-30 mmHg and above) are commonly covered under Canadian extended health benefit plans (e.g. Sun Life, Manulife, Great-West Life, Blue Cross, Green Shield Canada) when accompanied by a valid prescription from your physician or nurse practitioner. It may also qualify as an eligible medical expense under the CRA's Medical Expense Tax Credit. We're happy to provide a pre-approval form for your insurance provider — just contact us before ordering. Coverage details, annual limits, and prescription requirements vary by plan, so please confirm your specific benefits with your provider and keep your prescription and itemized receipt for your claim.

Available in sizes X-Small/Small/Medium/Large/X-Large. Measure your leg first thing in the morning, before any swelling builds up, then read your size off the chart below:

  • Ankle (cB) — around the narrowest part of your ankle, just above the ankle bone
  • Calf (cC) — around the widest part of your calf
  • Thigh (cG) — around your thigh, near the top (thigh highs and pantyhose only)
  • Length — choose Short or Long from your lower-leg length
  • Fit — the Plus fit is cut for wider calves

  • Machine wash in cold or cool water (about 30°C/86°F) on the gentle or delicate cycle
  • Wash with similar colours using a regular detergent with no additives -- avoid fabric softener
  • Use a mesh laundry bag, and secure hook-and-loop (velcro) tabs first to protect the knit
  • Hand washing is gentler and may extend the product's life
  • For light use, washing every two to three wears is enough; heavy use needs more frequent washing
  • Lay flat to air dry -- do not hang to dry (the fabric can stretch out of shape) and do not tumble dry

Watch how to put on the VenoTrain Ulcertec system. The soft understocking goes on first, followed by the compression stocking — together they deliver the pressure that supports venous leg-ulcer treatment while staying comfortable to wear.
