Immobilization of the wrist and parts of the forearm

The ManuLoc® long is a longer version of the ManuLoc wrist orthosis. As well as immobilizing the wrist like the ManuLoc, it immobilizes large parts of the forearm too. This intensive protection helps to relieve particularly severe symptoms and supports care following severe bruising and as soon as the plaster cast is removed after surgery. Wearing the orthosis prevents painful movements, while the hand can still grip objects and move around freely. Like every Bauerfeind product, it is made in Germany.

Securing the wrist during both extension / flexion and radial / ulnar movements thanks to extended aluminum stays
Limitation of rotational movements in the wrist thanks to the orthosis’ longer lever
The orthosis prevents incorrect positioning of the distal and proximal parts of the wrist
Great freedom of movement for the thumb thanks to large thumb openings on both sides – the orthosis can therefore be worn on the left and the right
Immobilization in a functional position whilst maintaining functional gripping movements thanks to shapeable metacarpal stay
Practical Velcro fastenings and retraction stopping devices on the straps make it easy for the patient to put on the orthosis using only one hand
Edges finished using ultrasonic welding for increased durability and an improved look; sensitive skin in the elbow area is softly cushioned / enclosed

Hand wash separately with a mild detergent at no more than 30°C (86°F), lukewarm.
Take the three stays out of the brace before washing.
Close the hook-and-loop (Velcro) fasteners before washing so they keep working and are not damaged.
Do not dry in direct heat — no radiator, no direct sunlight.
