Braces and orthoses built with rigid components are usually covered under Canadian extended health benefit plans (e.g. Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Blue Cross, Green Shield Canada) when accompanied by a valid prescription from your physician or nurse practitioner. It may also qualify as an eligible medical expense under the CRA's Medical Expense Tax Credit. • Clean the plastic parts of NEURODYN® PERONEUS with a damp cloth and gently wash the upholstery in lukewarm water (30 °C) with mild detergent and air dry
  • Do not dry it in a tumble dryer, on a radiator or in the microwave

Sporlastic prints these steps in the instructions for use supplied with the product.

  • Remove the original sole of your shoe.
  • Open the NEURODYN PERONEUS fastening strap at the hook-and-loop end that clings to the calf cuff. It has an orange ring.
  • Now place the brace in the shoe. Make sure that the plastic sole fits snugly.
  • Slip into the shoe in a sitting position. The brace acts like a shoehorn. Once the shoe is on and closed, move your foot forwards until the calf cuff makes contact with the lower leg.
  • Now grasp the open end of the hook-and-loop fastener and guide it around the lower leg. Attach the hook-and-loop end with the attached deflection loop to the strap area that lies on the calf strap.
  • The selection of the right shoe is crucial for the function of the NEURODYN PERONEUS.
  • Discuss the correct footwear with your technician. The effective heel height of the shoe should be approx. 10 mm.
  • Closed shoes with a removable footbed are best suited. This provides sufficient volume for the brace. It is important that the heel is enclosed.
  • There is no body weight limit for the brace. There are also no restrictions for everyday activities. However, the brace is not approved for sporting activities.
  • The padding of the shell can be unclipped for cleaning.
