The GENUSTABIL® 20° is a knee immobiliser: a three-part bar strapped along the leg that holds the knee at 20° of bend and stops it moving from there. It is used where the knee has to be kept still but not locked straight — before or after surgery, after an injury to muscle, bone, capsule or ligament, for a kneecap fracture, after the kneecap has dislocated, and for painful states where movement has to stop for a while.

A cut-out leaves the kneecap free rather than pressing on it. The bar comes with an adjustment aid — a scaling band and markings printed on the brace — so a fitter can set the length to the leg and repeat that setting later. It can be worn on the right or the left.

The 0° version of the same brace holds the knee straight instead; choose the angle your clinician has asked for.
