This is a medical-grade orthopaedic brace that incorporates rigid structural support. Braces and orthoses built with rigid components are usually covered under Canadian extended health benefit plans (e.g. Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Blue Cross, Green Shield Canada) when accompanied by a valid prescription from your physician or nurse practitioner. The 30° marked on the diagram is 30° of bend from a straight leg — a slightly bent knee, not a right angle.

Can be worn on the right or the left.

  • Wash GENU-HiT® WING gently in lukewarm water (30 °C) with a fine detergent and leave it to dry naturally
  • Do not dry it in a tumble drier, on a radiator or in the microwave
  • Any tension in the knitted fabric that decreases over time will be restored by washing
  • Sporlastic therefore recommends washing the support more often

Sporlastic prints these steps in the instructions for use supplied with the product.

  • The knee support can be worn on the left or right side.
  • Grasp the knee support at the two upper ends of the lateral spirals and pull it over the knee.
  • The knee support fits correctly when the patella is enclosed pressure-free by the silicone pad.
  • Make sure that the edge of the support is not folded inwards or outwards and is flush against the body.
  • To remove the support, slide the knee support off from the thigh towards the foot.
