The GENU-HiT® + COMFORT is the wide-fitting version of the GENU-HiT knee support. It is worn for kneecap pain, meniscus damage, knee arthrosis, rheumatic effusions, ligament injuries and mild ligament laxity, and after surgery or injury while the joint is still irritated.

A ring-shaped silicone pad encircles the kneecap without pressing on it, and a metal spiral spring runs down each side of the knit to steady the joint sideways. The intarsia comfort zone behind the knee is knitted in rather than sewn on, so the support does not crease in the hollow of the knee, and the edge of the knit is very thin so it does not dig in.

What makes this the COMFORT version is the dimpled silicone band along the top edge, which grips the thigh and stops a wider support sliding down.

The 30° marked on the diagram is 30° of bend from a straight leg — a slightly bent knee, not a right angle.

Can be worn on the right or the left.

Wash GENU-HiT + COMFORT gently in lukewarm water (30 °C) with a fine detergent and leave it to dry naturally
Do not dry it in a tumble drier, on a radiator or in the microwave
Any tension in the knitted fabric that decreases over time will be restored by washing
Sporlastic therefore recommends washing the support more often

Sporlastic prints these steps in the instructions for use supplied with the product.

The knee support can be worn on the left or right side.
Grasp the knee support at the two upper ends of the lateral spirals and pull it over the knee.
The knee support fits correctly when the patella is enclosed pressure-free by the silicone pad.
Make sure that the edge of the support is not folded inwards or outwards and is flush against the body.
To remove the support, slide the knee support off from the thigh towards the foot.
