Soffban® Synthetic is a synthetic cast padding wrapped between the stockinette and the casting material. Its job is twofold: to shield the skin from the heat a cast gives off while it sets, and to cushion the limb so the cast does not rub or cause cast sores.

The synthetic fibres breathe and do not hold moisture against the skin, which helps avoid maceration under a cast worn for weeks. It conforms well, so it lies flat without pleats or tucks and leaves a smooth surface for the tape to go over, it tears easily by hand without necking down, and it lints very little.

Supplied as rolls 5, 7.5, 10 and 15 cm wide, 2.7 m long. Each size is sold by the case: 288 rolls in the 5 cm case, 192 in the 7.5 cm, 144 in the 10 cm and 96 in the 15 cm.
