This is an inelastic compression wrap for the foot and ankle — a short-stretch garment with adjustable straps that takes the place of a bandage. It sits still on the limb at rest and pushes back hard when the muscle contracts, which is what an inelastic wrap is for: low resting pressure, high working pressure.

Reduce is the therapy version of the wrap, made to replace bandaging during the decongestive phase of lymphoedema treatment. This is the foot piece: it pairs with the Reduce Calf to compress the whole lower leg, and it is modified at the clinic as the foot comes down.

Compression is set by the wearer against the Tension Tab™ markings your therapist puts on the garment, so it can be re-tensioned through the day as the limb comes down, and the wrap carries on into maintenance rather than being replaced.

Is this the right one for you?

Choose this if you are actively bringing the swelling down — this replaces bandaging during decongestive therapy.

Limb swells and changes size through the day? Sigvaris Compreflex Standard Knee 20-50 mmHg Adjustable Compression Wrap wraps on and re-tightens as the swelling goes down.

Is the foot and ankle swollen too? Sigvaris Compreboot Standard Foot 20-50 mmHg Adjustable Compression Wrap is a foot piece that fits inside most shoes.

This product provides medical-grade adjustable compression (20-50 mmHg range). Medical-grade compression garments (20-30 mmHg and above) are commonly covered under Canadian extended health benefit plans (e.g. Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Blue Cross, Green Shield Canada) when accompanied by a valid prescription from your physician or nurse practitioner. It may also qualify as an eligible medical expense under the CRA's Medical Expense Tax Credit. We're happy to prepare an itemized estimate for your insurer — use Get an Insurance Estimate for this item, or add several to your cart and request one for everything at once. No charge, and it's not an order. Coverage details, annual limits, and prescription requirements vary by plan, so please confirm your specific benefits with your provider and keep your prescription and itemized receipt for your claim.

Measure first thing in the morning, before swelling builds, with the tape snug but not tight.

  • Range 1 and Range 3 are broad measurement bands rather than lettered sizes, read off the two circumferences above and below your kneecap; Range 3 is the larger of the two.

Check the size chart below. If your measurements don't fit a size on it, contact us and we'll help.

  • Close all hook-and-loop fasteners before washing
  • Machine wash on the gentle cycle at 30°C (86°F), in a mesh laundry bag
  • Use a mild detergent; never use bleach or fabric softener
  • Tumble dry on low heat or air dry; air drying is recommended to extend the life of the wrap
  • Store at room temperature in a dry place, away from light and direct heat
  • Keep the wrap away from ointments, oils and greases, which shorten its service life
  • Wash it as often as needed

The Reduce garments are fitted and marked by a therapist, and the tension is set with Sigvaris' Tension Tab indicators rather than by feel.

  • Put the cotton liner on first and smooth out any wrinkles.
  • Position the wrap on the limb and lay the straps down gently, without stretching them.
  • Working from the bottom of the limb upward, pull each strap to the tension level your therapist has marked on its Tension Tab.
  • Re-check and re-tension through the day; the limb changes size during the decongestive phase and the wrap is meant to be readjusted.

Tension Tab devices and a marking kit come with the garment. The tension levels are prescribed by your therapist, not chosen at home.
