The Basic Liner is the plain, non-compressive liner Sigvaris supplies with its Compreflex® Standard and Coolflex® Standard calf wraps. It is a knee-high cotton-rich sock that goes on under the wrap, so the wrap never sits directly against the skin.

It adds no compression of its own. What it does is protect the skin from the wrap's material and its straps, wick moisture away, and give the wrap a smooth surface to close over. The sole is extra thick from toe to heel, and the seams are flat.

Buy it here as a replacement, or as a spare so there is always a clean one while the other is drying. Sigvaris recommends a separate foot piece when a Basic Liner is what you are wearing under the wrap, because the liner leaves the foot uncompressed.

Close all hook-and-loop fasteners before washing
Machine wash on the gentle cycle at 30°C (86°F), in a mesh laundry bag
Use a mild detergent; never use bleach or fabric softener
Tumble dry on low heat or air dry; air drying is recommended to extend the life of the wrap
Store at room temperature in a dry place, away from light and direct heat
Keep the wrap away from ointments, oils and greases, which shorten its service life
Wash it as often as needed
