This is a medical-grade orthopaedic brace that incorporates rigid structural support. Braces and orthoses built with rigid components are usually covered under Canadian extended health benefit plans (e.g. Sun Life, Manulife, Great-West Life, Blue Cross, Green Shield Canada) when accompanied by a valid prescription from your physician or nurse practitioner. It may also qualify as an eligible medical expense under the CRA's Medical Expense Tax Credit. • Hand wash only, in lukewarm water (about 30°C/86°F) with a mild detergent
• Close all hook-and-loop (velcro) fasteners, straps, and zippers before washing to protect the fabric
• Do not use fabric softener, bleach, or harsh chemicals; do not dry clean
• Remove and clean any removable pads or cushions separately with water or mild soap
• Air dry fully -- do not tumble dry, use a hair dryer, or dry in direct sunlight
• Apply skin creams or lotions after removing the support in the evening, not right before putting it on, since they can affect the material's properties
