Manumed active E+motion® is the sports version of the Manumed active wrist support: compression knit, an ergonomic splint along the palm and a strap around the wrist, in a seamless merino-blend knit built for training.

It is for irritation of the wrist after an injury or an operation or from rheumatic disease, osteoarthrosis of the wrist, tenosynovitis and instability; medi also lists it for wrist injuries such as sprains.

The compressive knit limits swelling and can improve proprioception (your body's sense of where it is in space), so the body controls and steadies the joint better, and a 3D silicone-quartz pad massages the area as the hand moves. The palm splint can be taken out if less support is wanted, an XL movement zone at the thumb keeps the hand free, and a large opening in the strap keeps pressure off the bony knob on the little-finger side of the wrist. Merino wool handles temperature and odour, Dry Skin technology handles moisture, and the knit is seamless so it sits almost wrinkle-free. medi calls the fabric 25 per cent tighter and 10 per cent thinner than its other knits.
