The JOBST® FarrowWrap® Strong Legpiece is the 30-40 mmHg version of the everyday FarrowWrap leg wrap — the same wrap as the 20-30 mmHg Lite, at the higher compression tier. JOBST describes Strong as more rigid than Lite and less stiff than Classic, a durable fabric with a soft inner layer recommended for moderate to severe edema. It is the legpiece JOBST's selection chart reaches at this compression level when the limb has not developed significant lobules (soft bulges of swollen tissue) or heavy shape distortion. Overlapping hook-and-loop bands wrap the lower leg and are re-tightened through the day as the leg changes size, so compression stays consistent where a stocking would not. The short-stretch fabric is quiet against the leg while you are still and firm when the calf muscle contracts. Two Farrow Standard liners are included, a trim-to-fit legpiece covers limbs the ready-to-wear chart misses, and Strong machine washes at 30°C.

Machine wash at 30°C (86°F) with a mild detergent
Do not use fabric softener, optical brightener or stain remover
Do not wring or twist; dry flat only — never tumble dry, and never on a radiator or in direct sunlight
Do not bleach, dry clean or iron
Fold each hook-and-loop band back on itself before washing and when you take the wrap off; it protects the fabric and makes the wrap easier to put back on

JOBST® publishes the step-by-step application on the insert card supplied with the wrap and in its donning videos — follow those and your clinician's instructions.

Cover any open wound with an appropriate dressing before anything else goes on
Put a Farrow Standard liner on first, under the legpiece
Wrap the legpiece over the liner and fasten the bands from the ankle upwards
Tighten or loosen the bands through the day as the swelling changes
When you take the wrap off, fold each hook-and-loop band back on itself before putting it away or washing it
