JOBST® CompriFoam® is an open-cell foam bandage that goes on underneath a compression bandage. Its job is not to compress, but to even out what the compression bandage above it is doing.

Pressure that would otherwise concentrate over a bony point or a fold gets spread along the limb, which prevents constrictions and keeps the compression underneath working as it was set to. The foam is open-cell, so air and water vapour pass through it, and the material is designed to sit against skin.

CompriFoam is reusable. It is supplied on a 2.5 m roll, 4 mm thick, in a 10 cm or a 12 cm width, and is applied by a clinician as part of a bandaging system rather than worn on its own.
