Hypafix® transparent is the waterproof film version of the wide-area fixation roll. The film is very thin and stretchable while staying strong, and it conforms to body contours like a second skin, including over joints and extremities.

Because it is waterproof, the patient can wash and shower without bagging or taping over the dressing, and because it is completely transparent the wound or the insertion site can be inspected without taking the fixation off. It is permeable to water vapour and oxygen, so the skin still breathes and the risk of maceration stays low. It is also used to protect skin against friction and shearing, and to hold catheters, cannulae, patches and ointment dressings.

A red stripe application system guides placement. Supplied as 10 m rolls in 5, 10 and 15 cm.
