Cutimed® Siltec® is a foam dressing with a silicone wound contact layer. The foam absorbs, super-absorbent stripes inside it lock the fluid away, and the silicone face adheres to the intact skin around the wound but not to the moist wound bed or to newly formed skin — which is what makes a change atraumatic.

Because the fluid is drawn upwards and held rather than spreading sideways, the skin around the wound is less likely to macerate, and there is little risk of strikethrough or leakage. Saturation is visible through the dressing, so it can be changed when it is full rather than on a schedule.

This is the version with very gentle FeatherTack adherence — the lightest tack in the Siltec range. Sterile, in five sizes from 5 x 6 cm to 20 x 20 cm.
