Cutimed® Gel is a clear amorphous hydrogel — a gel with no fixed shape, squeezed from a tube into the wound rather than laid on it. It is used to add moisture where a wound is dry, and to soften necrotic (dead) and sloughy tissue so the body can break it down itself, which is called autolytic debridement.

The formulation is pure and preservative-free, which lowers the risk of an allergic reaction, and its moisture donation is high enough that dressings can be changed less often while still debriding effectively. It works at any stage of healing and is easy to apply and to rinse out.

It needs a secondary dressing over it, and is compatible with any type — a film dressing, for instance. Sterile, supplied as a 15 g tube.
