Cuticell® Classic is a paraffin-impregnated wound contact layer — the open-weave gauze square laid directly on the wound, underneath whatever absorbent dressing goes on top. Its job is to keep the dressing above from bonding into the healing surface.

The soft paraffin keeps the layer low-adherent and soothing, so a dressing change hurts less and disturbs less, and it supports the moist environment a wound heals best in. The open weave lets exudate drain freely up into the secondary dressing rather than pooling, which also prevents an occlusive effect, and interlocking threads mean it does not fray when it is cut to size.

Sterile. Supplied in four sizes from 5 x 7.5 cm to 15 x 25 cm, five dressings a box.
