Not suitable for: severe peripheral arterial disease, uncontrolled congestive heart failure, septic phlebitis, phlegmasia cerulea dolens, an untreated infection, a suspected or known untreated acute deep vein thrombosis, or any circumstance where increasing venous and lymphatic return is undesirable.

Measure first thing in the morning, before swelling builds, with the tape snug but not tight.

Each Fit names two things:

Length — 28 cm or 33 cm is the height of the wrap itself, not a measurement of your leg; pick it from your floor-to-knee-crease measurement
wide calf — the same ankle size cut wider through the calf; read the chart's extra wide columns

Wide calf is part of the Fit choice and is made in sizes II, III and IV only; the ankle range is the same either way.

The Size numbers are medi’s own: on the box and the prescription they read S to XXL — I = S, II = M, III = L, IV = XL, V = XXL.

Roll the straps up and close every hook-and-loop fastener before washing — an open fastener chews the fabric
Machine wash warm on a delicate cycle, in a mesh laundry bag
Tumble dry on low heat
Do not bleach, iron, dry clean or wring
To get the longest life out of the wrap, hand wash it and let it drip dry instead
Store it dry and out of direct sunlight
Plan on replacing it after about six months — the material slackens with wear and the working pressure goes with it

Once your fitter has set the wrap to your measurements, you put it on yourself each morning.

Slide the circaid undersleeve over the lower leg and over the knee, with the cuffed edge covering your heel, and smooth out any wrinkles.
Position the wrap just above the ankle bone and below the knee crease, with the black side of the material against your skin.
Unroll the top two bands and secure them loosely to the outside of the wrap to anchor it while you position it.
Unroll the bottom two bands and fasten the lowest one first, firm but comfortable.
Work up the leg, fastening each band in turn in alternating order so that the bands overlap slightly and leave no gaps.
Take the BPS card and set each band in turn, starting at the ankle, so every band sits in the compression range you were prescribed.
Check that the wrap lies flat and wrinkle-free, and that no hook-and-loop fastener touches your skin.

Re-check the bands with the BPS card during the day and re-tighten if the pressure has dropped. Unless your prescriber says otherwise, wear it daily from morning to night.
