These are the replacement liners for the VenoTrain® Ulcertec two-part ulcer system, sold in a pack of three so one can be worn while the others are in the wash. The liner is the white inner stocking: it sits against the leg, holds the wound dressing in place, and is knitted from skin-friendly material because it is the layer in contact with damaged skin.

Worn on its own overnight it keeps a gentle level of compression going around the clock; worn under the Ulcertec overstocking it contributes to a pressure in the lower range of compression class 3. Unlike the overstocking, the liners are made to be washed at high temperatures. Like every Bauerfeind product, it is made in Germany.

This is a set of replacement liners for the Bauerfeind VenoTrain UlcerTec compression system, not a compression garment in itself. The liners hold the wound dressing in place underneath the UlcerTec stocking and do not provide medical-grade compression on their own, so per Bauerfeind they likely would not be covered separately through insurance — a plan assesses the compression system. Bought on its own, this part is generally not eligible for reimbursement, so please confirm your plan's terms with your provider before ordering. If you are claiming the UlcerTec compression system itself, start there. We're happy to prepare an itemized estimate for your insurer — use Get an Insurance Estimate for this item, or add several to your cart and request one for everything at once. No charge, and it's not an order.

If you're not sure which size to take, contact us and we'll help you measure.

  • Machine wash in cold or cool water (about 30°C/86°F) on the gentle or delicate cycle
  • The liners are made to be washed at high temperatures — Bauerfeind prints a 95°C wash symbol for the liner
  • Wash with similar colours using a regular detergent with no additives
  • Never use fabric softener — it can impair the medical effect of a compression garment
  • Use a mesh laundry bag to protect the knit; hand washing is gentler still and may extend the garment's life
  • For light use, washing every two to three wears is enough; heavy use needs more frequent washing
  • Wash regularly — regular washing is what keeps the knit and the seams at full compression
  • Lay flat to air dry — do not hang to dry (the fabric can stretch out of shape) and do not tumble dry
