SecuTec OA was specially developed for patients with moderate to severe osteoarthritis of the knee. It provides relief for your knee after a cruciate ligament tear, cartilage surgery or meniscus surgery, for example. Thus the orthosis not only effectively alleviates pain, but also gives your knee the necessary security for movements that promote recovery.

This is a medical-grade orthopaedic brace that incorporates rigid structural support. Braces and orthoses built with rigid components are usually covered under Canadian extended health benefit plans (e.g. Sun Life, Manulife, Great-West Life, Blue Cross, Green Shield Canada) when accompanied by a valid prescription from your physician or nurse practitioner. It may also qualify as an eligible medical expense under the CRA's Medical Expense Tax Credit. Two measurements, both taken with the knee slightly bent: around the thigh 14 cm above the middle of the knee, and around the calf 12 cm below it. Check this product's size chart below before ordering. If you're between sizes, contact us and we'll help you measure.

  • Machine wash in cold or cool water (about 30°C/86°F) on the gentle or delicate cycle
  • Wash with similar colours using a regular detergent with no additives -- avoid fabric softener
  • Use a mesh laundry bag, and secure hook-and-loop (velcro) tabs first to protect the knit
  • Hand washing is gentler and may extend the product's life
  • For light use, washing every two to three wears is enough; heavy use needs more frequent washing
  • Lay flat to air dry -- do not hang to dry (the fabric can stretch out of shape) and do not tumble dry
