This is the GenuTrain® Comfort knee brace finished with a 5 cm silicone band around its top edge instead of the usual scattered dots. It is the wider fitting of Bauerfeind's GenuTrain, an active support for a knee that aches, swells or feels unsteady in everyday movement and through recovery after an injury or surgery.

The breathable Train knit grips the leg and works with the anatomically shaped Omega+ pad around the kneecap: every step squeezes and releases the pad against the joint, an intermittent massage that eases pain and helps swelling drain away. Meniscus wings reach the joint space at the sides, Hoffa spots press on the fat pad below the kneecap, and rigid plastic stays on either side keep the brace tracking with the leg.

The wide silicone band spreads its grip over a broader area of the thigh than dots do, which keeps the brace in place without a narrow line of pressure. Bauerfeind offers it on Comfort sizes only. Like every Bauerfeind product, it is made in Germany.

Comfort fit.

The 30° marked on the diagram is 30° of bend from a straight leg — a slightly bent knee, not a right angle.

Machine wash separately at 30°C (86°F) with a liquid detergent.
Remove the hook-and-loop (Velcro) straps before washing where possible, or fasten them firmly in their designated place.
Remove pads or splints before washing if they can be taken out.
Use a laundry net and keep the spin cycle to a maximum of 500 revolutions per minute.
Air dry only — do not tumble dry, or the knitted fabric may be impaired.
Wash regularly so the knitted fabric keeps its compression.
