Immobilization of the wrist and parts of the forearm, with thumb brace

In the case of irritation and combination injuries that affect the wrist as well as the thumb carpometacarpal (where the wrist meets the long bones of the hand) joint and thumb basal joint, the ManuLoc® Rhizo long immobilizes the wrist and holds the thumb securely in a relaxed position with a support. The construction of the orthosis can be individually adjusted in line with the progress of treatment, whereby the mobility of the thumb basal joint is gradually increased and eventually the thumb support can be removed. Like every Bauerfeind product, it is made in Germany.

Limitation of rotational movements in the wrist thanks to the orthosis’ longer lever
Immobilization of the wrist thanks to shapeable aluminum stays
Stabilization of the wrist in a functional position thanks to anatomically shaped metacarpal stay
Practical Velcro fastenings and retraction stops on the straps make it easy for the patient to put on the orthosis using only one hand
Edges finished using ultrasonic welding for increased durability, comfort, and an improved look; sensitive skin in the elbow area is softly cushioned / enclosed

Hand wash separately with a mild detergent at no more than 30°C (86°F), lukewarm.
Take the three stays out of the brace before washing.
Close the hook-and-loop (Velcro) fasteners before washing so they keep working and are not damaged.
Do not dry in direct heat — no radiator, no direct sunlight.
