The GenuTrain® Comfort is the wider fitting of Bauerfeind's GenuTrain knee brace — the same active support, knitted to a size range that begins where the standard version's ends. It is for a knee that aches, swells or feels unsteady in everyday movement, and for the weeks after an injury or knee surgery.

Its breathable Train knit grips the leg and works together with the anatomically shaped Omega+ pad that sits around the kneecap. Each step squeezes and releases the pad against the joint, an intermittent massage that eases pain and helps swelling drain away. Meniscus wings at the sides of the pad reach the joint space, Hoffa spots press gently on the fat pad below the kneecap, and rigid plastic stays on either side keep the brace tracking with the leg.

Comfort sizes run from 3 to 7 and are cut for larger thigh and calf circumferences, so read the Comfort rows of the size chart rather than the standard ones. Like every Bauerfeind product, it is made in Germany.

Comfort fit.

The 30° marked on the diagram is 30° of bend from a straight leg — a slightly bent knee, not a right angle.

Machine wash separately at 30°C (86°F) with a liquid detergent.
Remove the hook-and-loop (Velcro) straps before washing where possible, or fasten them firmly in their designated place.
Remove pads or splints before washing if they can be taken out.
Use a laundry net and keep the spin cycle to a maximum of 500 revolutions per minute.
Air dry only — do not tumble dry, or the knitted fabric may be impaired.
Wash regularly so the knitted fabric keeps its compression.
