The EpiTrain® is Bauerfeind's knitted elbow brace, for an elbow that hurts where the tendons attach — tennis or golfer's elbow, an irritated muscle-tendon junction, or an elbow that is stiff and swollen after an injury or an operation.

Two contoured viscoelastic pads sit either side of the joint, over the tendon attachments, and the compression knit presses them into the tissue as the arm moves. That intermittent massage eases pain and helps inflammation and swelling settle, so gentle mobility work can start earlier. A removable tension strap with a rigid plastic D-loop adds pressure where it is needed and comes off when it is not.

The knit is cut long over the upper arm so the brace stays put, and left particularly soft in the crook of the elbow so it can be worn with the arm bent for long periods. Like every Bauerfeind product, it is made in Germany.

  • Machine wash separately at 30°C (86°F) with a liquid detergent.
  • Remove the tension strap before washing where possible, or fasten it firmly in its designated place.
  • Remove the pads before washing if they can be taken out.
  • Use a laundry net and keep the spin cycle to a maximum of 500 revolutions per minute.
  • Air dry only — do not tumble dry, or the knitted fabric may be impaired.
  • Wash regularly so the knitted fabric keeps its compression.
