This is the pelvic support component of the complete Bauerfeind CoxaTrain hip brace, not a standalone orthosis. A complete CoxaTrain fitting combines the pelvic support, a thigh support and a hinge, each sized separately, and Bauerfeind advises that the components are not intended to be purchased or submitted to insurance individually — the complete brace, which contains rigid elements, is the device a plan assesses. Bought on its own, this part is generally not eligible for reimbursement, so please confirm your plan's terms with your provider before ordering. If you are claiming the complete CoxaTrain brace, contact us and we'll prepare an itemized pre-approval package for your insurance provider.

Sized on the circumference of your pelvis and of your thigh at its middle, plus your height. Check this product's size chart below before ordering. If you're between sizes, contact us and we'll help you measure.

Machine wash in cold or cool water (about 30°C/86°F) on the gentle or delicate cycle
Wash with similar colours using a regular detergent with no additives -- avoid fabric softener
Use a mesh laundry bag, and secure hook-and-loop (velcro) tabs first to protect the knit
Hand washing is gentler and may extend the product's life
For light use, washing every two to three wears is enough; heavy use needs more frequent washing
Lay flat to air dry -- do not hang to dry (the fabric can stretch out of shape) and do not tumble dry
