The Aspen® Vista® 631 LSO LoPro is a low-profile lumbar-sacral brace for the lower back after surgery, an injury or a flare of chronic pain. A rigid back panel sits low and central, side panels close over it, and pull tabs draw the whole belt tight — the left tab controlling the lower compression, the right the upper, so the two halves of the brace can be tuned separately.

The low profile is the point: it is slim enough to wear under loose clothing, which is what most people need from a brace they have to keep on all day. Removable lordo pads sit against the small of the back and can be taken out for comfort, and a fitter can trim the posterior and lateral panels along printed lines so they sit at the midline.

One size covers the range, set at the belt's own sizing rivets.

Aspen prints these steps; the first fitting of a post-surgical brace should be supervised by your clinician.

Set the belt size first: push the male rivets on the belt through the right adjustment holes in the sizing mechanism. For smaller sizes, slide the side panel through the sizing slot and fit the rivets from underneath.
Pull the belt taut so the rivets lock in place.
Centre the back panel in the middle of the back, as low as is comfortable.
Wrap the left side of the belt tightly across the front of the body, then the right, pressing the hook onto the loop material while breathing in so the fit stays snug.
Check both the top and the bottom of the brace are snug; angle the ends if needed to close the gap.
Pull the tabs strongly away from the body — tighter than you need, then ease off to the right fit. Pull the left tab to tighten lower, the right to tighten upper.
Press the pull tabs onto the loop material to hold the compression.
Take out the lordo pads if they are uncomfortable against the small of your back.
