• Conservative/post-operative
• Injury to the hand in the area of the wrist and the middle of the hand
• For immobilisation of the wrist with free movement of the thumb and fingers
• All indications requiring immobilisation of the wrist in at least two movement directions with free finger mobility, such as:
• Pre-operative
• Post-traumatic
• Carpal tunnel syndrome/CTS
• Inflammations
• Degeneration
• Rheumatological conditions

Not suitable for: allergic, inflamed or injury-related skin changes over the area it covers (for example swelling or redness); impaired circulation or lymphatic soft-tissue swelling; nerve-related disturbance of sensation or of skin nourishment (trophism) in that area, with or without damage to the skin.

This is a medical-grade orthopaedic brace that incorporates rigid structural support. Braces and orthoses built with rigid components are usually covered under Canadian extended health benefit plans (e.g. Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Blue Cross, Green Shield Canada) when accompanied by a valid prescription from your physician or nurse practitioner. • Wash MANU-CAST® ORGANIC gently in lukewarm water (30 °C) with mild detergent and air dry
• Do not dry it in the tumble dryer, on the heating or in the microwave

Sporlastic prints these steps in the instructions for use supplied with the product.

• Open the hook-and-loop fasteners of MANU-CAST® ORGANIC and pull the brace over the hand. The anatomically pre-shaped mesh frame rests against the inside of the hand. The upper bar must lie between the thumb and the index finger.
• Close the hook-and-loop fasteners with measured tension. The wrist strap is wrapped circularly around the wrist and brace.
• MANU-CAST ORGANIC is properly tightened when the anatomically pre-shaped mesh frame fits snugly against the palm, wrist and forearm.
• To remove MANU-CAST ORGANIC, open the circular hook-and-loop straps and pull the brace off with the other hand.
