The MALLEO-HiT® is a knitted ankle support with a dimpled silicone pad on each side of the joint. It is worn for a mild ankle sprain, for a joint that keeps giving way, for irritation or wear in the ankle, for rheumatological complaints and for swelling — and after surgery, where compression and support are wanted before a rigid brace is needed.

The knit compresses the soft tissue around the ankle; the two pads sit in the hollows either side of the ankle bones and massage them as the foot moves, which helps swelling drain and keeps the joint aware of its own position. It is flat enough to be worn inside a normal shoe, and the edge of the knit is thinned so it does not cut in.

Can be worn on the right or the left.

  • Wash MALLEO-HiT gently in lukewarm water (30 °C) with mild detergent and air dry
  • Do not dry it in the tumble dryer, on the heating or in the microwave
  • Tension in the knitted fabric that decreases over time is restored by washing
  • Sporlastic therefore recommends washing the support more often

Sporlastic prints these steps in the instructions for use supplied with the product.

  • MALLEO-HiT can be worn on the left or right side.
  • Fold the upper part of the support over to the upper edge of the silicone pads.
  • Pull the support over the foot until the heel sits correctly in the anatomically knitted heel section.
  • The silicone pads should then be positioned behind and below the inner or outer ankle.
  • Fold the upper part of the support back over and pull the support into the correct position.
  • MALLEO-HiT fits correctly when the seam is centred over the sole of the foot and heel.
