The CALCALASTIC® is a silicone heel cushion that drops into the shoe under the heel. It is used for plantar fasciitis with or without a heel spur, for pain at the back of the foot, for Haglund’s deformity, for wear in the ankle, knee and hip joints, and to make up a difference in leg length.

It is moulded from skin-friendly silicone in two different hardnesses. The firmer outer body spreads the load across the whole heel; a much softer core — Sporlastic calls it the "soft spot" — is set toward the inner side, directly under the point where a heel spur presses, so that spot carries less of the weight. The silicone has a memory effect and returns to its shape after each wear, and it wipes clean.
