Specialist® 100 is a cotton cast padding — the soft wrap that goes between stockinette and casting material to cushion the limb and protect the skin from the heat a cast gives off as it sets.

It has the properties cotton users look for: the material feathers and self-bonds, so overlapping turns knit into a smooth undercast surface instead of a ridged one, and its cohesion lets extra padding be built up around a bony prominence where the cast would otherwise press. It tears cleanly by hand, applies quickly, breathes to help avoid skin maceration, and lints very little.

Supplied as rolls 5 to 15 cm wide, 3.7 m long, in standard and sterile versions.
