Sof-Rol® is a natural cast padding made from highly absorbent surgical-grade rayon. It goes on over the stockinette to cushion the limb, and because it absorbs rather than repels, Essity lists it as suitable for use around wounds.

The soft, natural material creates a comfortable undercast surface and works under both synthetic casting tape and plaster of Paris, so one padding covers the cast room. It applies easily and tears by hand.

Supplied as rolls 5 to 15 cm wide, 3.6 m long, in standard and sterile versions.
