Protouch® is a synthetic stockinette — the knitted tube that goes on first, under the padding and casting material, so the cast never sits directly against the skin and its edges can be turned back over the stockinette for a comfortable rim.

It stretches to more than twice its width, so it slides over a heel or an elbow and settles without wrinkling around complex anatomies, and the synthetic fibres conform closely without bunching.

Supplied as 22.75 m rolls in widths from 2.5 cm to 20 cm. Its cotton counterpart is listed separately as Protouch Cotton Stockinette.
