The medi Elastic Elbow Support is the simplest elbow garment in medi's orthopaedic range: a highly elastic two-way stretch knit shaped to the elbow, with no pads and no strap. It is thin enough to wear under a sleeve.

It is for epicondylitis such as tennis or golfer's elbow, articular effusions and swellings, chronic, post-operative and post-traumatic inflammation, and osteoarthritis and arthritis.

The knit is a medical compression class 2. Constant compression with a massaging action as the arm moves relieves the irritated joint and improves blood flow through the soft tissue around it, so swelling and effusion clear faster and pain in the area eases. A knitted comfort zone sits in the crook of the elbow so the fabric does not bunch when the arm bends. Clima Comfort moves moisture off the skin and the Clima Fresh finish keeps odour down.

Not suitable for: diseases or injuries of the skin where the support sits, especially with inflammatory signs such as unusual warmth, swelling or redness; sensitivity or circulation disorders of the arm, for example with diabetes; or lymph drainage disorders and unexplained soft tissue swelling outside the treated area. medi lists arterial occlusive disease and lymphoedema of the arm as absolute contraindications.

Hand wash only, in lukewarm water (about 30°C/86°F) with a mild detergent
Close all hook-and-loop (velcro) fasteners, straps, and zippers before washing to protect the fabric
Do not use fabric softener, bleach, or harsh chemicals; do not dry clean
Remove and clean any removable pads or cushions separately with water or mild soap
Air dry fully -- do not tumble dry, use a hair dryer, or dry in direct sunlight
Apply skin creams or lotions after removing the support in the evening, not right before putting it on, since they can affect the material's properties

Take hold of the support at its top edge, where the label is, and pull it up over the forearm.
Draw it on over the elbow until the knitted comfort zone lies in the crook of the elbow.
It is on correctly when the point of the elbow sits in the shaped outer part of the support.
