JOBST® UltraSheer knee-high compression socks are a medical garment for women, knitted at 15-20 mmHg. The compression is graduated — firmest at the ankle and easing as it goes up the leg — which supports the return of blood from the legs towards the heart.

UltraSheer is JOBST's sheer line: a fine, breathable satin-touch yarn that gives real graduated compression while looking like ordinary fashion hosiery. The knit has a soft shimmer, comes in a range of skin tones and JOBST Trend colours, and is reinforced at the heel and toe so it stands up to daily wear.

The knee-high length covers the foot and lower leg and finishes just below the knee. A closed toe encloses the toes like an ordinary sock. JOBST lists 15-20 mmHg for minor varicose veins, tired and aching legs, pregnancy, prevention, travel, and minor limb swelling.

This product provides mild, over-the-counter compression (15-20 mmHg), below the medical-grade 20-30 mmHg threshold. Measure first thing in the morning, before swelling builds, with the tape snug but not tight.

LFC and XLFC are the L and XL sizes cut wider through the calf. Choose one if your calf is wider than the chart allows at your ankle size.

Each Fit is written as Length/Top band:

  • Length — Petite or Regular, set by your leg length
  • Top band — Standard or SoftFit™. SoftFit adds a silicone band that grips without digging in.

  • Wash daily, or at least every other day — by hand or on a gentle machine cycle in warm water up to 40°C (104°F)
  • Use a mild liquid detergent; do not use fabric softener, optical brightener or stain remover
  • Rinse thoroughly; do not bleach, dry clean or iron
  • Do not wring — roll the garment in a towel and press out the excess water
  • If your garment has a silicone top band, hand wash the band to remove creams, lotions, hair and other residue
  • Dry flat, away from radiators and out of direct sunlight; check your garment's own label before tumble drying

How to put on your JOBST UltraSheer knee-high compression socks:

  • Turn the stocking inside out all the way down to the heel
  • Using both hands, pull apart the folded-in foot part and pull it over your foot, all the way to the heel
  • Gradually pull the stocking over the instep and heel
  • Work the stocking upward, returning it to a right-side-out position piece by piece
  • Smooth it out by massaging with both hands until it sits without creases — rubber gloves make this much easier

Wear your compression garments regularly and consistently. JOBST recommends putting them on in the morning, immediately after getting up.
