Cutimed® Sorbion® Sana is the Sorbion dressing for pain-sensitive patients. Its wound contact surface is a perforated polyethylene film chosen to be particularly atraumatic, so the dressing lifts away without dragging at a wound that is already painful to touch.

The core is a fibre matrix that draws large volumes of exudate in and locks it as a gel, and keeps holding it under compression — so dressings are changed less often, up to four days apart. The matrix stays stable even when saturated, so it does not form lumps or pressure points and stays in full contact with the wound. Along with the fluid it takes up wound debris and traps micro-organisms, and it keeps the wound moist by gel formation. There are no binders or adhesives in it.
