Cutimed® Sorbion® Border is the self-adhesive member of the Sorbion range: the same super-absorbent core, finished with a silicone adhesive border and a waterproof backing, so it fixes itself and the patient can shower with it on.

The core is a fibre matrix that draws large volumes of exudate in and locks it as a gel, and keeps holding it under compression — so dressings are changed less often, up to four days apart. The matrix stays stable even when saturated, so it does not form lumps or pressure points and stays in full contact with the wound. Along with the fluid it takes up wound debris and traps micro-organisms, and it keeps the wound moist by gel formation. There are no binders or adhesives in it.

The wound contact layer is a hypoallergenic polypropylene, the border lifts away without trauma, and the breathable polyurethane backing is what makes it showerproof. It holds its fluid even under compression. Sterile, in four rectangular sizes from 10 x 10 cm to 20 x 20 cm, plus a sacral shape.
