Essity's casting instruments are the hand tools of the cast room: a cast spreader that opens a cut cast so it can be lifted off, and a range of shears and scissors for cutting casting material, padding and dressings.

All are handcrafted from high-quality stainless steel, which is what keeps an edge cutting cleanly through fibreglass or plaster instead of tearing it, and lets the instrument be cleaned and reused. The range covers a medical cast spreader, Powerarc and clean-cut scissors, Bohler serrated-edge shears and Lister scissors in two lengths, plus a small precision pair.
