The ViscoSpot® R&L is the pair version of Bauerfeind's heel-spur cushion: one right and one left cushion, so both feet sit at the same height. It is used for heel spur pain, for Achilles tendon pain and for Haglund's deformity, the bony bump at the back of the heel.

Each cushion is moulded from silicone in zones of different firmness. Directly under the tender point on the sole of the heel the material is at its softest — the white spot — so weight passes around the painful area rather than through it. A second zone eases the point where the plantar fascia attaches to the heel bone, and a recess follows the line of the fascia itself. The zones blend into one another in wave-like contours, so there is no hard edge to feel underfoot.

The cushions sit in a closed shoe, are easy to wipe clean and can be moved from one pair of shoes to another. Like every Bauerfeind product, it is made in Germany.
