The VenoTrain® Glider is a donning aid: a slippery, hard-wearing sheet on a non-slip foam base that lets a compression stocking glide over the foot and up the leg instead of gripping the skin on the way. It works with open-toe and closed-toe stockings alike, and it can be prescribed by a physician.

It is light, stable and tear-resistant, and folds down small enough to keep in a bag, which is what makes it the practical choice for travel rather than the one to keep by the bed. The same aid also helps with taking the stocking off at the end of the day. Like every Bauerfeind product, it is made in Germany.

Whether open or closed toe — with the VenoTrain Glider you can put on any compression stocking in an instant:

Place the non-slip foam base on the floor with the tip pointing forwards
Place the VenoTrain Glider on top of the base with the green side uppermost
Place the front of your foot in the marked semi-circle, then push it gently forwards
Let your foot glide into the donning aid
Slip the compression stocking, together with the VenoTrain Glider, over your foot and upwards — starting, as usual, from the tip of your foot. The stocking can now be easily fitted over your leg
Finally, pull the VenoTrain Glider up out of the stocking at the top band. Done
