Following thumb joint injuries, such as tears or sprain to the collateral ligaments ("skier's thumb"), or for indications of osteoarthritis (arthrosis of first carpometacarpal (where the wrist meets the long bones of the hand) joint) or irritation, RhizoLoc® stabilizes the thumb saddle and metacarpophalangeal (the knuckle joints where the fingers meet the hand) joint. A VELCRO Brand tab allows the mobility of the joint to be limited as treatment requires. Like every Bauerfeind product, it is made in Germany.
