A replacement pad set for Aspen® Pediatric Cervical Collars — the soft parts between the rigid collar and a child's skin, at the chin, along the sides and behind the neck.

Children's skin is more fragile and a paediatric collar is often worn continuously, so the pads take the brunt of it. The chin pad also carries the chin dots a fitter uses to confirm the collar height is right, so a flattened pad costs the check as well as the padding.

Aspen's own instruction is to keep a second set so one can be washed and air-dried while the other is worn — the pads must never go in a machine or a dryer, and they take hours to dry flat.

Peel the pads away from the hook dots to take them off the collar.
Hand wash the pads with mild soap and warm water. Do not machine wash and do not use bleach. Rinse thoroughly.
Wipe the plastic shell with mild soap and water, rinse it, and towel dry before re-attaching the pads.
Press the pads with a towel to squeeze out the water, then lay them flat to air dry. Do not use heat.
Use a spare pad set while the first one is drying.
