Actimove® Sling Comfort supports and stabilises the forearm after a fracture or a joint dislocation, and while a cast or splint is in place. It is supplied as a roll rather than in fixed sizes: one product covers every patient, cut and adjusted to the length each arm needs, and it allows several application styles.

The sling is 5.5 cm (2¼ in) wide, and that width is deliberate - a broad band spreads the load across the neck instead of concentrating it, which is the usual reason a sling stops being worn. Three lengthwise seams stop the band rolling into a cord.

Hook-and-loop Y-tabs close the sling, so a patient with one arm out of action can take it off and put it back on unaided. The dispenser box carries an on-pack measuring system for quick fitting, and replacement Y-tabs are sold separately here.

This support may not be covered. No manufacturer or distributor source describes it as containing rigid or semi-rigid bracing, which is what plans look for in a brace, so it is not automatically eligible.
